Candyce Hoskins is a visual artist residing at Anchorage, Alaska.  She recently built a new studio north of Anchorage, between Talkeetna and Willow.   

Her style blends impressionism and expressionism with a touch of realism.  Her view of life on this earth is one of awe....humanity never ceases to amaze her.  Earth's landscape, its position in our universe, its ever-present proximity to destruction all contribute to Candyce's many sleepless nights and creative hours.  Her work was described by Charles Reid in 1985 as "...very nicely realized.  Beautiful shapes, and lovely lost-and-found quality in it."  

Hoskins has won numerous awards in juried shows on the state, national and international levels.  She is a former board member of the Arrowhead State Council of the Arts in Minnesota.  Her work is part of the permanent collection of the Anchorage Museum of History and Art.  Candyce is a signature member of the Alaska Watercolor Society.
